Place Kickers
The Place Kicker should not be a high concern for your fantasy football team, but he can make the difference in a close game.
A reliable place kicker for a respectable offense will score points
for your fantasy team every week. However, the number of
opportunities that a kicker has for scoring invariably depends on the
offense's ability to move the ball into scoring position.

You should wait to draft a PK in the last 3-4 rounds of the selection process. Heed these tips when
you select a PK for your fantasy football team.
- A PK whose team plays in a dome does not have to overcome wind or rain.
- A PK whose team has trouble scoring TD's in the red zone has more FG attempts.
- A PK with a conservative head coach has more FG attempts due to safe play-calling and unwillingness to go for it on 4th down.
- A PK on a team with an explosive passing game kicks more PAT's and FG's as the offense quickly advances down the field.
- A PK with a vaunted reputation will benefit from the head coach's conservative decisions based on confidence in the PK.
