Quarterbacks
Quarterback is the second most important position on your
fantasy football team.
Though the quarterback position is not quite as important as running
back, your fantasy football team must receive consistent production
from the QB.

You generally ought to draft your first quarterback in the 1st or
2nd round. Sometimes, you can get away with having an average QB
on a team that passes a lot or has to pass to catch up in the second
half. However, avoid using a high pick on a QB who in involved in
a QB controversy (e.g., Tamba Bay). Consider the following tips
when drafting QB's for your fantasy football team:
-
A QB on a team with a weak defense must throw several passes to make a comeback.
- A QB on a team with a strong rushing game may not throw for many passing yards or TD's.
- A QB who plays for a liberal play-calling coach is more likely to throw long TD passes.
- A QB who suffers many sacks is less likely to endure the entire season and to be effective.
- A QB whose team plays in a dome or in the south will not have to suffer cold or windy conditions near the end of the season.
